Connect phone directly with pc and install all driver. Run SCout soft and see User code. Then manually put to phone or go to service tab and press master reset.

Scout can't connect to phone becuase it has Phone Lock, you will see same "AT command error" with Scout. Only option is connect phone in flash mode (* + # + PWR) and flash it.

You are totally wrong. SCout uses different interface and will not display "AT command error".

Connect the phone to PC USB port, install drivers, launch SCout and it should detect the phone. If it does not read the code - perform the Master Reset and the code should get disabled.

Best Regards

hi!

You can use the latest version of Scout which is v1.17. Also, you can use your current S-Card dongle to access the Scout software. S-Card & Scout dongles are like keys, you cannot use SmartMoto or Scout without it.

Perform 'Master reset' operation and the phone code will be switched off.

Once I recieved two V8 cellphones with user lock code, however, to disable it I just conect phone directly to USB port (of course you have to got installed latest Motorola drivers on your PC) then I open SmartMoto program made click on "Read phone info" and the user code showed up. I did not need to flash it or perform any other operation, well that was what I did, I hope this information were helpful for you as well.

br.
