Dear Smart Clip support,

Is there a date soon that there will be new flash files for the w175g which can unlock and rebrand the phone?

@ omerts,

First of all flashing procedure can not unlock the phone.
Unlock procedure is not currently supported for the W175g.
All available flash files are placed at the www.boot-loader.com

i need it right now, becuase when w175g tracfone gets unlocked, all it shows is phone is hacked, so a new flash file can get that fixed

AFAIK this problem can't be resolved by flashing.

Yes... Mcandre is correct.....because you corrupted eeprom by the ( Use Default EEPROM ) button in SmartMoto....now no box can fix.
W175 is NOT the same as W175G.
....We await a modified full firmware and EEPROM for W175G.
I only hope that SmartClip team will be first.

i think that in order for the phone to display "phone is hacked", there must be some software for it?!
so maybe a flash file (with other software) instead of displaying this message can skip it, and work fine with the modified eeprom no? please correct me if i am wrong

You're wrong, exist already solution to repair damaged eeprom in w175g. For quite long time in fact.
Though - it is not possible to use this phone with different sim card, but at least is possible to repair broken phones.

Im Very Sorry...incorrect to say that no box can fix.
Vic's ODM module works just great...no need file uploads and conversion..just dump full firmware or any portion thereof and do what you wish.
With Smart Moto P2k.. its the backup function...I have over 3Gig of backup ....SMARTCLIP ON !
Question is..there is no reason to buy any other device just to service a W175G Tracfone valued at $19.95 US...and then you still cannot unlock .
Big P2K and ODM MOTO surprizes from Smart Clip team this year...!

Can you please extend on the smart clip, and the backup function because i own a smart clip and i did not understand exactly what you said

rocker dongle can fix eeprom on w175g. after phone show hacked you need tp flash it and press fix eefrom and phone is perfect again. You can unlock this phone to used with other carrier, but you need to have minute from tracphone. As soon you cosume all minute, phone lost signal again

Dont expect any unlocking solutions for new G model TracFone.
Why ???........ because of economics.
The other reason is that the solution (modded firmware files) cannot be protected once inside flash chip.
Let us say that SC team puts 5 months of work into developing custom firmware that allows for TracFone G series to function like all regular Moto ODM...example...175G to W175 W376G to W375 ...etc
The same day that these files become available for download on Bootloader... is the same day that all other so called Moto boxes will also release their (modded) firmware files to fix up Tracfone G series phones....with SC team doing all the work.

Even if other boxes will copy this firmware, WE SMART CLIP owners will be able to unlock these phones we have, so why not give us, paid customers, this privilige?!

Also, i have nevered heard of anyone not developing their products because someone is going to still the firmware. By what I see they are adding more and more supported phones, and now they are also looking to buy new phones for development, and i don't think that firmware theft is stopping them.

There are many people that need to be able to unlock these w175g phones. And if you beliebe the smart clip is the best box, no other box should be able to threat this title by stealing smart clip's software.

Also, smart clip should at least let us fix repair our defected phones, just like rocker dongle let their users do.

DM3 Team is a great example of a group that cannot develop their product for resale.. because there is no way to protect their unique unlock process.

One solution would be a joint venture on behalf of all the top Moto unlock boxes...Like SC Team , Infinity, and Victor ...as in each group shares in the development cost ....(3 coders from each team) on behalf of their users.
