Mr tinkertrain:
Here in this thread, they say that boot 04.00 is NOT hardware problem, when you ALWAYS said " most likely it's hardware problem"
So smart-clip damages mobile phone hardware? i dont think so...
I think there is a solution for this problem, but SC team dont have it... (anyone have it) but i want to say that THIS IS NOT hardware problem
i have already replaced Flash Chip.... and problem is the same! even when i dont replace Flash Chip, i can unlock it... (when say boot 04.00)

@ mario_e1,

Boot version get read as 4.00 in case if the set has hardware malfunction, as an option the TP could be shorted.
As Orange_Dominica have already mentioned
Quote:
Reading phone boot version... 4.00
After Removing a SMALL piece of shield and cleaning the PCB, We are READY !
The PCB of the phone was shorted, due to this reason the boot get read as 4.00 and the Prepare Smart TestPoint procedure could bot be completed successfully.

@ mario_e1,

Boot version can be read as 4.00 in case if some PCB component is shorted, flash chip is damaged, the TestPoint is damaged, etc.
Please check the mainboard of the phone.

boot 4.00 is because some tracks are shorted below the shield part removed to acces the testpoint
i figured it out in my own problematic phone i not mean every phone have the same issue but i solved my problem by doing some soldering and praying a lot

Thanks just got mine fixed after i cut the shield and I connected to smartclip phone came on as 0x400. So I followed instructions, sprayed a bit of contact cleaner and use a toothbrush to brush off any residue of the PCB and phone came on great!

@ Denozaur,

In case if boot version get read as 4.00, more likely that the set has some hardware malfunction.
Please double check phone's PCB.

Best Regards

You are trying to downgrade fw version. Flash the same or higher version. If you don't sure about the version, use "safe flashing : disable firmware downgrading" option.
