"Privileged instruction" error while using the SCDR II upgrade tool on XP???? - GSM-Forum

Hi! im tryin to update my SCDRII dongle to ver 10 and i always get "Privileged instruction" when i press start on the upgrade tool? im using XP os, so can u pls tell me how do i sucessfully upgrade my dongle! and i have sucessfully upgraded the sagemmaster to Ver 10 without a problem, but this gives error always! pls help?

Use userport .

then it should be no problem

you need to set cimpatiblilty mode to windows 98se/me right click on the upgradetool exe and chnage it from there.

Tks for your info! i did try that but after doing it i get this error

Lpt Port : 0x378
Status : Device OK.
Serial : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxF6
Device Comunication Error !
Process Terminated !

and the update doesnt start? the problem was i had a "Device not found" problem due to the resistor burnout after using with Myc-2 phones, now i have changed the resistor with a value of 750 instead of it as i couldn't find 1ohm resistor in my town, can u pls tell me whatxs the problem now?
