Unlock codes read but don't work? - GSM-Forum

Hey guys, first up a big thank you to everyone for making this forum so informative. I've done a couple of searches but can't find anything relevant.

I have a NEC e616v SV17 locked to 3.

I have used SPUNLOCK V1.44 and GSMTECH V1.88 on windows 98 and XP respectivelly.

GSMTECH v1.88 doesn't read the last digit of the IMEI.

SPUNLOCK reads the codes fine.

When i type in the SPLOCK code the bottom right menu on the screen flashes but there is no message daying i've unlocked the phone.

Any ideas why? I have tried many times - I have also flashed the firmware.

Please help - If you want a free gmail invite just ask.
