Whats the deal with e338?

I have read now a million threads about NEC e338 and I have one of those and i need to unlock it.

But the thing is that someone posts a program, then half of the people in the thread get it to work while the other half is screaming that the program is a fake.

So WHATS THE DEAL!?

i dont want to permantly lock my phone, or jam it.

So could someone help me and tell me:

- What program works, what did not work?
- How to use the program?
- What kind of cable should i use?
- What kind of problems can i expect?
- If i get some of the problems mentioned i the question before what can i do to solve it?

Im not an idiot or anything im not just into the vocabulary of the phoneunlockers world

if you read properly those posts, you ll understand "the deal" the software unlocks BUT your imei is changed... and if you live in a country that is not allowed. the you have a paper weight phone, thats all in a nutshell..

Advice to you is to re read all that has been written and make up your mind..

The only working solutions, right now, are commercial ones, they are:

-FuriousII (USB cable)
-UniServer.ro (serial cable)
-Crazzy Unlocker (latest version)
-Phoenix Black Box NEC software

Everything else, unless I forgot something, either does not work or resets the phone to factory standard, which is korean language and a specific IMEI starting with 0044. And believe me, you do not want that.

So, just stop reading useless threads by helpless people.

the crazzy prog works fine just unlock 1.04 388 nec just load drivers take bat out make sure screen is blue this means drivers are working ok make sure that you pick right com port and have imi ready has the prog needs it to unlock thats it good luck

It looks like you are an end user with one phone, if thats the case your best bet it to go to professional unlocker who will have tested and working original (not crack) software. You can always try for yourself the cracks however, after youve paid for adapted unlock cable and taken the chance of killing your hard drive not to mention killing your fone (you must have seen all these risks in other posts) you will have the satisafaction of saying "I unlocked this myself" although there is a chance you'll be out of pocket
