does the phones need to be routed in order to unlock or it's just as simple as one click on Direct Unlock?

I am trying to unlock the samsung s3 AT&T.
I got the first set of code to work *#7284#
the second set of code *#9090# does not work for me.

The phone is running on firmware 4.1.2

On a seperate note...when I plug in the rj45 cable in the box...the box does not light with any color(yellow or green)..it has been that way since I got it...dont know if that could be an issue too.

BTW...thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Dial *#0808# and select "DM+MODEM+ADB". Also try one more time before, to stop the phone and try after *#7284# and *#9090# on rj45. Important is to start the phone with rj45 connected

Dial *#7284# and select "UART/MODEM"
Dial *#9090# and select "DM over UART"
Dial *#0808# and select "DM+MODEM+ADB"

Br

i tried dialing *#0808# but I get nothing with the new cable...I have no idea what I am doing wrong...but on a different note I am able to unlock the blackberry still...It seem like anything that has to do with usb is working fine...anything that has to do with rj45 doesnt work....

can anyone else confirm the unlocking work. And what firmware are they running on the S3.

thanks in advance.
