8830 successful Unlock 0 (No) Mep Left - GSM-Forum

Thank you furious,
Had 20 of these come back from RIM with 0 tries left to unlock by code.

I was able to successfully unlock both alltel and Cbeyond version's

One thing you need to look into though is reflashing the SFI.

I choose the correct SFI for the phones after using slow method it rebooted fine but was still locked.

I had to use slow method and click cancel when asked for SFI and load firmware using APPLoader.

In the end all phones worked 100%.

How i got it to work was
Use Slow Method.
Click Unlock.

Follow All Steps.
When it asks for the SFI. Click Cancel.

Load software using Apploader. Phone will be unlocked Now.

Wrong. For 8830 u can direct unlock by using the slow method !
