i unlocked without simcard, so i had to reconnect modem after inserting sim card to test

That fw version is supported but you need to try several times untill will work

as for the safaricom e173 above i tried to unlock an unlock one and still got error,that means the software doesnt get to the locks area i tried several times it did'nt work why not add that retry routine to code. i also have e173 from bharti airtel kenya also not working. u need to give a better solution than retry.

Your problem is related to the software, the dashboard allows just the SIM from the company. Install other dashboard
