Blackberry 8520 - Can't get phone id - GSM-Forum

Dear all,

as the object during a Imei change operation on a blackberry 8520,
smart tool say:

Searching for usb device ...
Booting usb device ...
ERR_MSG: Can't get phone id ! Unsupported model for current task !
Time needed - 00:00:06

Please Help me..

that model it's not supported for imei change

You cant change imei on 8520

i do change 9000 8310 and many more bb imei and bbpin with louise and previous blackberry editions but with the latest lazy edition cant,plz fg check the software and corect it.thanks

And this has nothing to do with the thread topic. Also 9000 are 2 kinds of version. New and OLD sec . Only old are supported

Jokes apart, ther's a possibility that in future a software can make this change, or IMEI is stored in an unerasable memory zone?
