Blackberry unlocked.... But, Initialization failed. SOLUTION HERE !!! - GSM-Forum

Hi ppl. FT Is working very good

Many bbs unlocked in 2 days

But, 2day I tried 2 unlock 8220, codes readed ok, but after put sim I get initizlization failed.... What can be the problem? TIA

it's not unlock fault, reload os and leave the phone without battry few hours and check again
i had the same problem with 2 BB 8310 with same problem and solved by flashing and leaving it without battery for few hours and worked very well

Initialization failed seems to me like a hardware problem... I tried to fix a bold once with that problem and flashed it like 5 times with different firmwares, wiped it clean, unlocked it... etc! nothing will fix it! so I am assuming it's hardware

The rare thing is, before unlock it, phone was say invalid sim card.... Now after unlock, also with first sim card with was locked, says Initialization failed...

if you find error (severity) 4 on logs I think will be hw problem.

as i told you i had the same problem with 2 bb 8310 i flashed both and leave them without battery the whole night and when i back on the morning i found phones working

Well I was leave it without battery all the weekend bro.... Putted it again and problem persists

does the phone show initizlization failed with sim card inside on not ?

try to do this it's should work too / i read this on crackberry forums
try inserting some thin plastic or something above the SIM in the slot so it presses down harder. i had this problem too and this seems to fix it.

HI,
problem Solved nice to know that
Better to Use Small Sticky notes (used by most Mobile Serivce center stick on mobile write Fault etc)
Apply those 2 on back of SIM thats all its Thick enough to Press it better in sim jacket
