I used that GW300 but it tells me to power on and don't work, I tried with and without battery

I use that cable too.
I had that problem with gs390 from at&t, but later I find how to do it.
I connect cable to powered on phone, then i turn off phone, and hit read code on software, then I pressed power to phone, and whala...
Tested many, many times...
