Furious gold no card reader(s) found - GSM-Forum

Hi

im having problems getting my new furious gold box to pickup when loading the maintenance application. I just keep getting the error "no card-reader(s) found" so i cant activate, setup or even get any options to purchase modules.

I have searched and tried some of the other forums from here and even looked on you tube but nothing appears to work.

Originally i was trying to use it on windows 8.1 but it didnt work even on 2 pcs and with different leads, after speaking to someone i was advised that i needed to either try windows 7 or 10. As i only have access to another pc with windows 10 this also doesnt work.

Ive tried the normal turn off firewall no joy, tried to clean com ports, removed all other devices from the pc, only mouse, keyboard and box connect, disconnect the internet and manually install the drivers but get an error that the hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. All the box_ftdi_drivers dont appear to have any install applications just system files but are unsure where to place these.

When the pc is connected to the internet the drivers install and the device is seen as a usb serial port.

I cant seem to see what is wrong or missing or if im doing anything wrong, any help would be great.

open box check if card inserted correctly

I can see inside the box but cant seem to see any sort of card, only a usb slot that looks like something should be inserted.

Im not sure i want to break the seal over the screw just yet, isnt there some sort of warranty on the box?

I can try to get a picture if needed, unless theres a picture somewhere for me to check against.

IVE HAD A LOOK ON THE FURIOUS GOLD WEBSITE AS PURCHASED WAS THE HARDWARE BOX FROM THERE, IT APPEARS THAT A DONGLE IS NEEDED SO WILL HAVE TO CHECK WHICH ONE TO BUY, DOES THIS THEN CONNECT INSIDE THE HARDWARE BOX? AND IF SO IS PROBABLY WHY IM GETTING THE ERROR?

THE ALL PACK USB SEEMS A GOOD CHOICE BUT IS MISSING 2 PACKS NEEDED (12 and 13), CAN THESE ALSO BE PURCHASED AND ADDED AFTERWARDS?

If you bought just the 29$ hardware box then for sure you need a dongle ! I suggest to buy the lite version and can enable after any other packs you need

Have received our dongle today, its up and running with extra modules purchased.
