That's NAND chip not CPU, please keep looking for other chipsets

I noticed that several folks were eager to help with the C78 locking issue and was hoping for similar results.
My sister's ZTE C78 has been buggy since it was hatched and has gotten progressively worse since. As of today there's no point in her making/receiving calls since it seems the microphone is on perma-mute, even on speaker. She can still text though.
Does anyone have any suggestions short of returning it?
I'm wondering if she should just clear the settings back to the factory state (in the event that there are conflicts) or perhaps she needs to clear her history?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
