Attempt to unlock a Blackberry 8900, but I want to read the MEP. I get the following: MEP: MEP-LOADED I wonder if this Blackberry has some kind of security that prevents the reading of the MEP and if I could disable. Thanks

Yes sure they started to remove mep. BEst is find network ur phone is locked on !

once the network is found.... what do we do AFTER pls mate? am meeting these now too..... last year MEP3s .... now these

pressing ALT then ESCR ... showed me the Vendor ID and related it to the provider+country from here

my friend try to flash your bb-8900 with a firmware in support area after press read code tested by me in bb-9500 new security 35xxxx03xxxxxxxx
test it and post a log here good luck.

New security has nothing to do with software OS version, and not all "03" are new security ... you was lucky

for my bb-9500 are detect first log unsupported simlock type i am test to flash the phone then unlock ok 100% . can flash to upgrade mep !!! i don't understand but tested 100% free after flash i wish test it this not cost anything

just got an old 8120 with mep-loaded and not even slow method works on it, I also tried known mep from same operator but calculated code dont work either.

On slow method seelct DIRECT UNLOCK simple ! Or RELOCK and unlcok by fast code after ! Very simple !

When I said "old" 8120 I meant old model it is actually brand new and just bought from service provider, maybe new security inside, sorry dont have log unless bb unlocker by furious has history somewhere I cant post log. phone went back to owner. maybe if I cant get it unlocked via mep I see option to purchase code by pin.

mep loaded cant be unlocked even if phone is old. the only solution is dm3 as i know.
