Like it's a 2G phone and dual GSM + CDMA. GSM could be unlocked. Also maybe disassembly to check processor.

Also may help a pic of under battery sticky. To see imei and other details

solution for verizon escapade to unlock

I have a little information about unlocking Pantech WP8990VW (Verizon escapade). I could not enter unlocking code because the phone not requested it. So, here's a little tutorial (all with accepted sim card):

1. Enter phone in GSM mode: Menu -> Setting and tools [9] -> Phone Settings [6] -> Network Mode [9] -> GSM Mode.

2. Enter Menu -> Setting and tools [9] -> Phone Settings [6] -> SIM security [8]. The phone ask enter code. It's NOT a unlocking code. If you know this code, enter it and go to the step 4. This code by default is last 4 digits in your CDMA phone number. You can see your number in Menu -> Setting and tools [9] -> Phone Info [9] -> My Number [1] -> CDMA Number [1]. MDN and MIN values must be equal.

3. If your code is differ from last 4 digits of CDMA number and you not use CDMA now, you can program phone. Exit to start screen, enter ##PROGRAM (##7764726) and press SEND button (call). You will see request to enter service code. By default this code is 000000. If your code is differ, it's very bad - i not try it, but theoretically your problem can be solved using data cable and soft for programming CDMA terminals (AxesstelPst EvDO, QPST Configuration, CDMA Workshop etc.)
So, we enter service code. In NAM-General [1] -> Mobile Directory Number [2] enter some value. Don't enter all zeros! Example, we enter 011-222-3344. All next values is for this example (011-222-3344):
NAM CDMA Settings [2] -> MIN1 [3]: 222-3344
NAM CDMA Settings [2] -> MIN2 [4]: 011
NAM CDMA Settings [2] -> IMSI_S [6]: 011-222-3344
Exit from menu, restart the phone. Now you know phone security code (3344). Go back to step 2.

4. In SIM Security menu go to SIM Lock [2] item, and choose Unlocked. Phone ask SIM CODE. Enter your code and enjoy - your phone is now unlocked and can work with all GSM operators.

Note: i don't have any programs to calculate unlock code. Man who give me code calculate her for another pantech phone - i don't know for which, but i can give my data:
IMEI - 351909033603504,
Unlock code - 06267729.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Friend tries so
Turn on the phone with a SIM that works (accepted)
Press the following: * # 865625 #
Appear the SIM unlock menu, press OK
Sign the Unlock code provided (8 digit numbers are)
Enter the code again
The phone will show full UNLOCK PROCESS and press OK
This will already be unlocked.
of course you have to have code

Code Calculate done by Lgtool, If u activated Lgtool in Setool than u will get unlock code for free, I had done it 100% work, with orros1965 method which is mention above.
