P910i unlock problem (4 locks got closed)

Hi,

I tried to unlock my P910i (locked to UK Orange) using the TMS client 1.98.
Everything seemed to be OK as the message window displayed the phone is now unlock (locks removed etc..). I used DSS-25 which came with the phone using COM3 after disabling the SE's 'Phone Connection Link' software.

However, on powering up the phone I receive the message 'Insert correct SIM'. Further check revealed that all 4 locks are now closed!

1. When I unlocked the phone I did not remove the SIM. Did it cause all 4 lcoks to be closed?

2. I tried to re-unlock using a second log (for unlocking my other phone) but it stays the same (there was no RSA removal though, as it was removed in the first unlock process). So, what is the problem here?

3. The log reseller kindly refunded me my logs and the server admin suggested to re-unlock it using the new client (ver 2.0). Will it do the job this time as I am still not certain and I don't want to lose my log(s)?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply casinoman.

I tried that last night and all the locks are now open with numbers 15 next to them (using the >**<<*<* code)

However, my phone still doesn't accept the SIM and still displays 'insert correct SIM' message.
When I tried to use the code <**< a message came up 'ME depersonalized'
Can you explain to me what is wrong with my phone now???

I bought it 2 weeks ago from Orange UK outlet and before trying to unlock it, I noticed that there was some sms in the inbox and some other non-standard programs installed. So, obviously it was a customer return and s/he might have tinkered with it???

Cheers

Thumbs up Thanks !!

Murphy and Casinoman

Thanks a lot for all your help.
My P910i is now working properly and unlocked!!!
I am using it on O2 now
Last question, will upgrading the firmware via SEUS re-lock my phone
and corrupt the security area?
Please let me know if you have any link to the answers for my question
cause I'm a newbie here

Thanks again and all credit to you's and the TMS team

Cheers
Bogeyman

Thanks for your info, much appreciated
However, I tried it just now and the update software recognised a new firmware??? (CDA162006/5)
Also, if I do a master reset, will the unlocks stay in-place?

Thanks

It's PDA part like language or Symbian file.
