R2T002 K608i - network menu options?

Hi there,
I have asked this in another thread but that thread originally was about something else and that issue has been resolved. Thanks TMS.

But in my friends K600i with R2T002 (bought overseas), when u go to settings - mobile network -- there are a bunch of other options like GSM-mode only, preferred network is not greyed out, etc

But in my current K608i with TMS's R2T002, why don't I have these options? Can someone please explain to me? I would really like to have these options...extra things in the mobile network menu...

Is this because my friend's phone is a generic firmware with all options enabled? My phone model currently says it is a K600i , CID37 , RED, etc but I would like to have all these options enabled anyway

Hi there,
QUESTION 1:
Just wondering anyone looked at this and understood what i was trying to ask.
Essentially, in K600i (original, generic ones), they can choose between GSM(2G) or 3G (Dual Mode) in their network menu settings I believe.

I have flashed/debranded my K608i CID37 with latest R2T002 from TMS and was wondering how to enable this menu????

Please help/advise thanks!

note: my friend is also anxiously waiting for V600i debranding/unlocking (CID49 RED). I know flashing is possible but would prefer to wait till unlocking is possible as well.

QUESTION 2: Why can't I read my K608i GDFS from TMS? I usually get an error. I have never ever successfully read GDFS from this phone to have as a backup. I have successfully unlocked and flashed this phone in the past though using same cable/computer. ANy ideas?

yea think so.
I chose APAC_1 Firmware and corresponding language. I wouldn't think different languages will affect this option? wouldn't it?
