Using a proxy server with Total Multiserver

Guys

I am trying to decustmize a K700i using Total MultiServer, however, my internet connection is via a proxy server.

How do you configure Total MultiServer to use a proxy server?

Cheers

Hanley

You can't, at least from my playing with Multi.

There's a couple of programs available that can trick a program into using a socks5 server (when it thinks it's a native connection), but that's about it.
Certainly I know of no easy way to use a normal http proxy server.

You could look at tunnelling etc, but then you're getting rather tricky and kinda outside the scope of this forum (too hard to explain)

i don't think those programs work on total server. I use sockscap on a regular basis, and whenever I try to start total server under sockscap, my computer goes all crazy and eventually locks up (stops allowing file read/write apparently).

So, looks like you're out of luck.

Yea, I suspect X-Protector is doing its thing and making Multiserver quite upset.
