w900i updated but one quirk

I recently updated my w900i using TMS. My phone is a sim free phone that originally had r5ac001 firmware.

My question is this. Before flashing I had the option of going into settings/connectivity/mobile networks and selecting either 3G/GSM or GSM only. After flashing to the newest software, this option no longer exists. Are there any tricks to getting this back? It was nice to be able to turn 3G off when I needed better battery life.

Thanks
