Exclamation How? Why? Samsung S7330 - STRAIGHT ANSWERS PLEASE

This S7330 is driving me mad...
I've been and bought the RJ45/USB combo cable from fonefunshop.

I've followed every bit of information that I can find and I still cannot get the phone to unlock. I have just flashed with the XXHK1 firmware - NO PROBLEMS
I have just reset the Sim Lock & Phone Lock - NO PROBLEMS

I click the unlock button, phone is powered on with sim - then connect the cable...

Checking serial communication...
Operation failed!

The samsung CDMA modem is installed on COM8. I have tried punching in *#782872# and *#726872# then connecting the cable and still get the same result.
I have also tried on my laptop, fresh install of XP SP3 and NSPRO v5.0.8 - EXACTLY SAME PROBLEM

Surely the cable is working correctly as I can flash/service?

I have it connected to a seperate USB to avoid the "USB Hub power exceeded" and have the RJ45 connected into the NSPro box.

Am I missing something here? Lots of people have said "try this tested by me..." but nothing works...

use NsPro E210 or NsPro C450 cable to unlock that phone.
The phone must be in Samsung USB mode to be unlocked.

Set the phone in PC Studio USB mode.

When you connect powered on phone to NsPro E210 cable, the phone should be detected as SAMSUNG CDMA MODEM on device manager.

Then you can use GET INFO function to read the phone code.

Or you can clear the phone code by flashing.
