yest phone must be rooted

it needs to be patched with special file from nspro support area and odin version is also included with patch file zip

i think 1.85 odin version does it

if u flash with patch then no need to root.

If I use this patch on the i9300, version (i747) will it modify the modem and mess it up?

NOPE

patch is stable so no need worry

tested on many phones

Well, I just used the patch in the i9300 (i747M) version and now phone is in a boot loop and will not start up normally. Just warning all Canadian versions to stay away from the patch until something else becomes available.

When you flash the patch file, is it the counter still at 0 (NO) or will it increase ??
Down + main button + power on to know !

He's using v3.04 but you can use v3.04 up to v3.07
