Problems unlocking X427 with E700 serial cable and ns dongle box

Hi,

Hopefully Elco reads this..

I'm having some issues with an Cingular X427. I can't seem to unlock it. I hook up my e700 cable to the serial port at the back of my pc. And hook up ns dongle box via usb. everything is cool. (this is my first time to use the serial cable)..

now the problem

i go to select com port.. i select com port 1. and then select the x427 phone.

buttons light up.. i press unlock... it says operation failed.

so i go to com port 2.. same thing.

any ideas anyone? please. thanks in advance.

i know the com ports work tho cause i used it for something else.

If you are using Nsdongle Box, and you have installed the box like i have explained in tutorial: www.nsdongle.com/box.html everything should be OK.If box is correctly installed you shpuld see "Nsdongle Box" on com port window.

If you have Nsdongle Box you dont need to uise serial cable to unlock the phone. If you have only dongle, you must use cerial cable.
If you are using serial cable, PLZ try with different cable: V200 cable, C100 cable. If cable is provided with connector for external power, use 9v battery for external power.

ahh... the problem for me is that.. i don't have a v200 cable or a c100 cable. all i have is the e700 cable.

so i guess i should take out the ns dongle in this case.. and use the e700 cable that way.. is this right elco?

ok that didn't work either.. where woudl i go buy a v200 or a c100 cable... well i know unlockcellular has a c100 cable for sale.. but waht about the v200?

i tried using this method that you had posted awhile back elco http:///vbb/showth...highlight=x427

your box should have came with A300?

never mind. haha. yah. i figured it out.

before i accepetd the phone.. i had researched.. that only e700 cable would work. so i kept thinking the box woudl only work with that. silly me. thanks tho
