| T989, i727 units are not unlocking with S7070 cable... Anyone else having this issue? We are having issues unlocking the units that require the S7070 cable(T989, i727). So far we've had one T989 that was successful. The error message we receive is "Checking Serial Communication, Operation Failed" We have attempted to unlock stock & rooted units with no luck all with USB debugging enabled. Anyone out there have any advice? |

| I unlocked both models sucesfully, it was z3x cable and I modify and convert to s7070, all is working good, test cable or open it to check that everything is ok Good luck |

| luck's like some T989, i717 dont dont connect to PC for unlocking. there are some differences in firmware or firmware configuration. I will try to get one of this phones and solve the problem ASAP |

| Best use the s7070 never had any problem.... but yeah like ELCO said double check firmware .... For 2.3.6 just downgrade to 2.3.5/2.3.4 and root and unlock i have done couple with no problem  |

| There's something with the firmware. I have two T989 on hand: 1st One - Turned on Debugging mode, connect to S7070 (no Voice Talk pop up), unlock successfully 2nd One - Turned on Debugging mode, connect to S7070, Voice Talk pops up on the phone, unlock failed. Master reset, tried again, still failed. The only solution to fix this is downgrade it to 2.3.5, unlock via USB cable, reflash 2.3.6. Both phone are brand new from sealed box, both are stock 2.3.6 |

| same problem here ... had 7 customers returned saying phone not unlocked(i use NSPro sometimes only) ... and i put a different sim in, turn it on, says enter unlock code, then i connect to NSPro, NSPro retuneded DONE, but still same ... when switched to another program, unlock at the first try .... |
