Member: 167428 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | It is not CDMA! I wouldn't waste my time posting here if it was indeed CDMA. Please take time to read my OP. FCC ID: A3LSGHI337 This phone is I337 hardware with different firmware. The phone has an IMEI. If it has an MEID writen anywhere that would be a different story. How would the phone operate on a CDMA network without an ESN/PESN 8 bit string??? I'm using one of the phone with an AT&T SIM card with no problem for one week now 4G LTE works perfect. I have flashed I337 AT&T ROM and phone became AT&T branded. I can bring up Network Lock Control Key screen by typing #7465625*638*# If I put another SIM It says invalid SIM Card. enter code. TracFone has always been a tricky company in terms of unlock. They have been well known for using crippled software. I remember when we use to flash them w/ branded AT&T firmware 10+ years ago. TracFone is an MVNO which operates on all 4 major US carriers: Verizon(CDMA), Sprint (CDMA), T-Mobile (GSM), AT&T (GSM) Their StraightTalk brands mainly operate on AT&T and Verizon. Verizon has refused to give MVNO access to their 4G, only 3G. AT&T has accepted. So all their 4G phones run on the AT&T network which include this galaxy S4. And btw the guys at Advance box support this model: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f475...014-a-1839696/ Quote:

Member: 2225003 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I got this phone from walmart the other day. dear fabulous801, how did you go about installing the AT&T ROM on this phone.I would like to use T-Mobile ROM, so I can get wifi calling. Is that doable on this phone? This is assuming, I am able to SIM-unlock the phone in the first place. Thanks |

Member: 2304901 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Also just got this phone through Walmart's $249 sale. I've rooted/ROM'd many devices over the years, but having issues with this one...I'm not as concerned with the SIM-unlock, but bootloader seems to be the issue. How did you go about flashing the AT&T ROM? -JC |

Member: 1836731 Status: Offline Sonork: Shekhar173 Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi all, a have the same problem with unlocking, in July I got this phone in walmart, it was big mistake in my life. I am from Russia, and I can't use my local network. Maybe somebody have any information about unlocking ? I find special Sim reader, open your browser and write "magicsim elite for galaxy s4". BUT, I don't know, will it work on our phones or not. Last edited by Shekhar173; 12-08-2014 at 18:59. |

Member: 2265057 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | has anyone had any luck with this model. i thought it was cdma and could not be unlocked, but apparently some cdma phones can be gsm unlocked now. i have heard of the sprint s4, g2, flex and a couple of others. i have also heard that once unlocked the phone tends to lose service, especially if its on the t-mobile network. att seems to be more stable. let me know what you find. thanks |
