Greetings,

i have finally resolved all problems with my pbb:
1- pbb not found
2- Deskey encreption faild
3- phone dosent power on
4- phoniex software dosent start if phone is connected
5- hot IC's on the box board
6- pbb reads the phone but dosent open the phones profile
7- install nokia dongle and try again
i have resolved all these problems with a real special modification and was almost bored playing with this dongle.

i haved removed the 8 legs regulator and replaced it with another regulator and made some other modifications , i'll post pics and more information of the modification i made tomorrow.

tested by me on DCT3, DCT4, DKU-2, flashing reading ...etc.

am real happy now and hope this mod will solve all problems for your boxes as it did to mine.

so waite for me to post pics and info.

Waiting for your solution if it will resolve my problem with Pbb. I can read it with PBB maintaiance tool v5.0, but I cannot open phoenix always Deskey error.

hi mate, i had the "deskey error" message nearly every time i plugged in my PBB for some month.

to solve that, i unplugged box from laptop and pulled out usb and charger leads.

then reinsert dongle to laptop (connect direct on LPT port, no extender). after this plug in USB cable then power supply.

next, go into start>all programs> phoenix and select DESkey control center.

this application will always detect the dongle, and seems to make it ready for use.

close control center and run phoenix, in my experience it will run now.

for those months, i could use self tests and phone information, but never flash the phone. i got error messages of "could not load component".

after these days, i now use stabalized power supply 7.5V and 1000mA and it will now flash one piece nokia 6230.

all other phones i get error "mcu did not ack" or "mcu did not boot"..

hope this can help you. maybe i will look to some data sheets to find a new suitable regulator if i get time at work.

for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ this tool cost, you think design/manufacturer would have done these tests them selves...

they just took their $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ got in new car and drove to new beach house for some month, cos they dont show their face in their own support area...

Thanks for your advice, but I had uninstalled the phoenix , now I have new problems with it. After reinstalling , while rebooting I get error "Descryption Failed. Please check your DESkey" two times. Now the phoenix cannot open. But it can be detected with Pbb maitainance tool.
I really need help on this.

He, he (c) Crew - best solution to make PBB working like real FLS-4 is to exchange it for GTI ... - there no way to compare it.

i know am late but my cam is really **** it dont make clear pics , i need someone to open his PBB and make some pics good ones front and back and i'll mark the places and edit pics to include the instructions .

asa you give me pics you get your PBB working ..

it is u6 on that diagram you must change.
