Same here, also "MCU did not Boot". To be honest I didn't have time to read everything here, so I shouldn't complain about this yet But it would have been nice if it worked the first time. Already tried with/without bsi-line resistor(s). I use 7v5 1A power supply. I tried on 2600, 6230, 6630 and 7200, but I couldn't flash any of them (6230 erased, but then gave same error). So I think I'll have to make a clean install for this and try another pc, all I need now is some spare time to do that

That's not a good idea in this case!
I only received this error with Nokia 8310 and 6510 !!!
And always received this error message after flashing success MCU part and erasing PPM part!!!
But thanks anyway for your care about customer!!!

P/s : just tried too many times and too many ways in changing and removing BSI resistor!!!

This is just my experience, maybe will solve your problem. First I also got many problem with pbb ( mcu did not boot, mcu did not ack, not enough licenses,etc)... already tried 3 pc, all of them give me different error... the problem was solved after remove my xp sp1 installation and clen install a win xp profesional ( no service pack, pure xp ).... now phoenix working good and smooth.... just one thing I still can't flash adsp because my pc won't recognise the adsp device
