nokia dku-2 cable problem - GSM-Forum

hi,
I try to use the nokia dku-2 cable , but when i insert it in the usb , i get device not recognized!!! there is problem and cant use it. I have windows XP SP 1 and try to use it with nokia data suite.
Any help?
i even donwloaded the xp drivers but still no luck

have you installed nokia pc suite corectly( available on cd rom or nokia.com) and try installing sp2 from windows. maybee check your usb2 drivers are in use in the my computor/system information/hardware/device manager section. when i first plugged in a bluetooth dongle in usb i had a nightmare configuring it with nokia pc suite, but it just takes time and a lot of ******* about. hope i helped a bit

yes i installed nokia pc suite the latest version. Do i really need sp2????? usb drivers are ok on my system. i really am getting pissed by this cable

It is surely usb problem.Have you tested cable on another computer???

No not tested on other computer , will do that and post results.
If it was usb problem? would other devices work on that usb port?because even powerflasher master works on that port

I tested it on another pc running xp sp 1...Still the same problem , i downloaded nokia suite latest version , which installs drivers , but still has same problem ........Device not recognized...anyone else? Where are drivers i need? i donwloaded from nokia site, are those no good? OR IS THE CABLE JUST FAULTY (allready opened it , could see no fault!!!)

yeah i installed drivers , but i got the problem now , it seems like nokia 3100 cant be used with dku 2 cable , so thats the whole ****....regards and thanks

I think your cable is malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it
