Selected Device, not Compatible with Software

hi
i have bought powerflasher from official reseller in lahore, Pakistan. it worked very fine for one day and i could flash/unlock 4 sets successfully. call it my bad luck or what, i downloaded new powerflasher suit ver 3.31 from support site and as soon as i installed it, it has started giving me this problem.
Selected Device, not Compatible with Software .
now it works with pf_dctx only with sam, acer or rtp .. it gives string error and the same as mentioned above.
one more thing is that my box serial no. is different but it shows me some other serial no. i have sent an email to matrix too but got no response by now. anyone here can help?
i am desperately waiting for some good help.
thx
Riz

solution

finally i got rid of this problem. this was not a problem with the box or with software and it wasnt a problem with pc as well. it was a simple problem with my usb cable. my usb connecter cable was smaller and i thought if i use this cable, some customer might steal my device so i purchased a cable to extend size of my usb cable. as soon as i removed that cable, my problem was fixed. i bought a new usb cable to extend my wire and this new one also worked fine.
so this was totally a usb cable problem and nothing else.
and hey i didnt try any hwk updates as it has been only 4 days since i bought this box and i dont know much about its updates and stuff.

@qadrimobile
yup no need to send your device to the reseller cose i sent my box back to reseller and it worked perfectly fine there and they suggested me to reinstall the whole system. so i fdisk my hard drive .. reinstalled win98 and win xp .. installed pf setup v 3.3 and usb driver for master box but i saw the same error message again. so just as a check i inserted my usb cable direct to the usb port and device started working fine. so i changed the usb cable i bought to extend size of my box usb cable and after the change again, master box was working fine.
so it was purely a usb cable problem but yea it gave some real pain in the *** for 2-3 days when it was giving me problem
if u face such a prob, check ur usb cable .. hope it helps many others
