SE K700 - No Sms sound - Sonics Box V1.077 - GSM-Forum

Hello

Flashed my SE k700 yesterday with files from support area.

k700_r2al_main_eu.bin.snx

k700_r2al_fs_eu_eu4.bin.snx

k700_gdfs.bin

No problem with the operation. Did a master reset/reset all.

After that I have no message alert on incoming sms.
Can´t choose any sound at messaging/settings/message alert/ just get this message: cannot play this sound.

Please help.

I´m missing more sounds, not only sms alert.

Flashed the k700 again, but still the same result.

It's MASTER RESET/RESET ALL that made this trouble. When you press MASTER RESET, you'll see a warning like this: ...DELETING ALL SETTINGS AND USER DATA, e.g. contacts, messages, pictures, sounds and games. Note that you may lose content that was in the phone at purchase...

Now, you can try this method to restore this multimedia file:
1) prepair some multimedia files, such as .mid, .png, ect, which you want to upload to your phone;
2) make a script file according to the NEW VERSION of SONICS MANUAL, appendix, How to Use Customizing Service (II);
3) select this script file in the "gdfs or script file" field, then press CUSTOMIZE.

I don´t agree with you in this case. I always do master reset, and this is the first one to fail. Luckily I made a backup of the orginal gdfs, used it and the problem is gone.

BTW: Noticed that with the gdfs form support area I had no phone memory left.
41mb in K700.

Try a Reflash FS image.
