HOW TO enable diag mode AND change or REPAIR IMEI

1. Unlock bootloader, install official BL unlocker APK :

ZE520KL_SIGNED_Android_M_UnlockTool_2016_0715

ZE552KL_SIGNED_Android_M_UnlockTool_2016_0715

2. use one-click tool for root / flash custom recovery

3. after root, via ADB - enable diag port :

adb shell → enter.
su → enter.
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb → enter.

Diag port enabled.

4. Use IMEI repair tool via cable from HERE

No support on this.
if you feel that it's way complicated or dangerous - "Abort the mission"

And for reminder - IMEI CHANGE IS ILLEGAL in MOST COUNTRIES.
You are doing it on your own responsibility.
