If you are sure that imei come back after screensaver I think that it's a problem of buggy phone firmware (programmers at factory have made buggy firmware), so after some operations phone reset settings to defaults and default imei come back.

You have to find better firmware for this phone.

Read information from phone, you will see original firmware version.

Try to find similar firmware (with similar firmware version but not exactly the same as original), flash phone and see results.

some models like S3,ROYAL3588,TOP-1,ZH898....are having the prolem,when the battery is revmove directly or battey get down charged (now if v put a working battery phone doesnt on)and now v shoud connet the charger for 1 min after that when v charge the mobile all the setting are reset to factory default.along with imei also reset to old value.i know this is100% firm ware diffect.and i change the firm ware similar models but phone is dead .

is thair any possibility to patcah only imei ???????????

i too have this problem top1,sigmatel s3,nktel a2008,and royal s3588
the imei restores when trying to change ringtone or wallpaper

here is my og firmware of phone i can try aproxx 10 firmware but after flash set goes white screen or dead.

Respected sir i tried all frmware in suport and also with working phone but same problem

i can't solve this problem without replace new imei with old in frimware

so when phone is reset than come old imei witch we have replace

i think u can understand this problem

and as u say u only u can solve this problem

because u r the best in chiness world in mtk based china

i can new futured update witch can repair this type of problem

use option "Default IMEI in firmware"
change IMEI to needed value
after this is done- make format FFS complete.

new IMEI must take place.
post result here
