Chinese iPhone - Invalid SIM - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I recently been gifted with Chinese iPhone (dual SIM) purchased from Dubai. It was working properly in Dubai but in India, i am getting the problem of 'Invalid SIM' for both the SIM slots.

I am a newbie and also i don't have any accessory of the phone except the phone itself and the charger.

Kindly help me out.

The Phone details are (what i can make out from the back of the phone - under battery):
Sci phone mode: i9 3GS
GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
GSM Quad-band Cell Phone

Let me know if you need any other info and also where to look for it

you must go to a Gsmphone market where u can find software shop!!

obviously your problem will be solved!! Mostly this problem comes in chinese/cloned china phones!!

Repairing Imei will solve the issue - must to go cell phone repair shop for software issue!!

Thank you for the reply.

But the phone was working in Dubai, then also so i need to go to the software shop?

i checked the IMEI numbers over the net for their validity, n the online check says that they can be valid, though nothing is confirmed. So, i need to get the IMEI from an authorized dealer or any GSM Software shop can provide the legal solution?

Kindly clear my doubts.

Yes what I written above is 100% legal
Imei repair is illegal only when phone is stolen or something like that(criminal activity)

As far as your problem is concerned this pb comes in nokia cloned or any cloned chinese phones like i-phone etc!! ( !! and this is not ur fault or any illegal thing !! normal in chinese phones due to software issues!!

So it's a legal solutions !! You must go to software shop for this pb
