Probably it's need to use different firmware files due to possible different hardware configurations for SL500.

SL500i dead after FLash

I have the same problem, SL500i dead after flash, the Fly logo comes comes up then phone powers off. I tried all the flash on support and still no luck. The phone was originally branded as TR1 from Orange. This site http://www.mobilegazette.com/fly-mob...1-07x05x14.htm confirms that TR1 is the same as SL500i. Any ideas how to bring back this baby to life?

SL500i dead after FLash

I do have a backup file, namely : backup_flash_part_1_of_1_20070531-011512.B0X.bin... but when i try to load it into the software it says 'file corrupted'. The file is about 8.5mb and i dont see where the software made part 2 of the back up.

SL500i dead after FLash

By the way, the reason why i decided to flash the phone in the first place was because the phone wouldnt unlock, even with ver. 1.49. Software said phone unlocked but the phone kept asking for np code. Also the correct error message that i got while trying to load the back up file that i made is :

Current device: Fly SL500i
Loading file v.02...
data error
Loading failed, probably damaged data file.
Loading file v.02...
data error
Loading failed, probably damaged data file.

I dont know if the backup file was designed for normal users like myself to use in case of dead phone.

@Christobol_007
please, send backup files to [email protected] (10Mb max attach size)
We will check it and see what to do.
Probably problem is is new phone hardware, it's ordinary situation for "Fly" models.
