Vodafone 547 Invalid IMEI Problem - URGENT

Hi,

I have a Vodafone 547 and unlocked it via code read . after that i was not able to set a phone lock code as it is not accepting any password ...

Hence i decided to format it to reset it ... i did a format(ffs) in complete mode and after that the phone is showing '' Invalid IMEI '' ...

I even tried to write the IMEI again however it is not working ... The process does not start up ... I am using RJ45 GW 300 cable for this as mentioned in the '' Similar cables '' column.

Pls help in resolving this issue asap.

@Yellowboss

I entered the IMEI manually under the service tab and then clicked on write ... I formatted(ffs) first to reset the lock code and immediately after that when i turned on my phone it was showing Invalid IMEI .

Hence to correct this i went to the write IMEI option ...

Pls suggest hereon ...

To be honest I understand nothing. Please, give me answers one by one.

1. What software you have used for unlock ?
Is it was Infinity-Box software or other software ?

It's nice that you simply ignored my previous question. Let's continue this way.

If you do not know what is "questions" and what is "answers" let me show you one easy example:

Question: "Can u just tell me how to repair imei"
Answer: run Infinity-Box software, go to software "Service" page and click to "Write" button. It's very easy.

P.S.
For now I go to "waiting mode" and I'll be waiting for answer for my questions.

Well !!! Wonderful support ... I believe what ever was written before from the 1st post that i made was not '' alien '' and was not '' Rocket Science '' either ...

Just for the record now let me Explain everthing in points just in case ...

1) I have vodafone 547 and i unlocked it with another box with code read methord using IMEI. it was easy and quick.

2) After that i turned on my phone and wanted to put a lock code on my phone so that no one else can access it .

3) This did not happen since i did not know the default code, i tried the following combinations '' 12345 '' '' 00000 '' '' 0000 '' none of them worked.

4) Since it was important to set a code on my phone i decided to format my phone using infinity.

5) I used the '' Format '' tab (Complete Mode) under the service page. Format was done correctly.

6) Now after the format was complete i turned on my phone and found that is shows '' Invalid IMEI '' which i fail to understand should not have happened.

7) After this i decided to write IMEI from the same page . i entered the IMEI of my phone , pressed '' write '' however nothing happens ...

This is the entire episode captured exclusively for you ...

Infinity is one of the best boxes around and has never been a problem. The problem is the support ...'' The customer service ''

Well !!! it would take you a while to get '' acquainted '' with the word '' '' Customer Service ''

If you cannot understand still '' CONSULT/SEEK HELP '' and that is probably it ...

Manbir ....

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation.
It's really a good example of problem description, let's hope that other people will be able to make this kind of problem explanation too.

One thing that I still can not understand:
What is "i entered the IMEI of my phone , pressed '' write '' however nothing happens" ?
It can not be true that nothing happened, something should happened in any case, so please, tell me, what was happened exactly after you press "Write" button.

(As you can see, we have returned to my first question in this thread, I hope that it's not an endless loop).

If you can not understand my question about "nothing happened" here is an explanation:

When you press "Write" button you will see some kind of text in software log window.
What text you can see in log exactly ?

btw, I did not understand well your words about customer service problem.
Is it was any kind of joke or what ?
What was wrong with our customer service ?
Do you think that "ask some questions about a problem" = "bad customer service" ?
Do you think that we are masters of Telepathy ?

refer to your post/comments on '' Today, 12:26 ''

anyways that is not my primary conern ...and i am very sure it is not yours either ...

'' by the by i am no rookie with infinity box ''

The answer to your question anyways is

Action: "repair imei"
Model: Vodafone-547
Checking data, wait...
Phone should be Switched ON !
Connecting, wait...
error: connection failed !
If you are sure that cable is good - select another baudrate (f.e. set baudrate to "autodetect")
operation failed !
Finished, time used: 39 sec
Remove/Install battery now !

Donot make sense at all ...

A new RJ 45 GW 300 cable compatible with this model '' As per infinity box '' is not detecting the phone ...

Your take Please ...

Your take Please ...
1. try to select "mode-2" for imei and repeat operation (for mode-2 phone should be in power-off state before operation)
2. try to connect cable to PC via original USB cable, probably PC ask you to install drivers.
Do you see new COM port in system ?
