v170 tracfone shows white screen after flash - GSM-Forum

i got a v170 to unlock,
i flashed phone with v171 flash from support and display shows white screen after flashing.
i flashed it with another v171 flash and phone display currupt images, at an angle. i flash again with v170 tracfone from support and got white screen again, i flashed with v173 cingular flash and it shows currupt display.
is this a new sw version sw ver 9.8.28 from tracfone?
i did not read flash before flashing.
how can i fix this?

Hello,

Yes, it look like that V170 with new hardware appeared on market and old firmware not good for it.
Is it possible for you to get the same original phone and read flash from it ?

The solution is: flash phone with flansh file that is not locked/customized for one network and also support new LCD type.
Currently we don't have this file so if somebody can read flash from this kind of phone it will be very good.

even if tracfone v9.8.28 is unlocked it is still only good for tracfone network, need flash v9.8.28 for generic gsm network, please help

you can flash it back to tracfone, with files v9.8.28 from infinity support, but locked again of course.
