as stated in the pictures which I got off from the FAQ link, you need to the the Infinity Box USB Serial(Com5) under comp part of the device manager.

But I do not have it.

Is it OK to use to use my Infinity Box now?

I am having trouble with this step, I do not see Infinity USB Serial Port (COMX)”

4.3. Select Com Port (WinXP example)

Make right mouse click on “My Computer” icon and select “Properties”.

Go to page “Hardware” and press “Device Manager” button.

Go to “Ports (COM & LPT)” section and find “Infinity USB Serial Port (COMX)”, where X is your Box COM-Port number. Use this COM-Port No for future operation.

It can be that port name is not exactly "Infinity USB Serial Port". Probably it has another name like "usb serial port".

thanks for your reply.

Under COM & LPT, I ONLY see three devices : COM1, COM2, AND LPT1

Under Universal Bus Controllers Tab, I do see two devices appear after pluggin in the infinity box

1. Generic USB Hub
2. FTDI FT8U2XX Device

HOWEVER, I do not see what port is the infinity box assigned to after going into the two device above.

thanks for your help. I really need to unlock my phone because right now I have no phone to use.

You need to update driver for "FTDI FT8U2XX Device".
Select drivers for this device from folder:
x:\Program Files\InfinityBox\Drivers\Cable

I do not see usb to come under COM ports. I only see COM1, COM2, LPT1

I connect the infinity box using the supplied usb cable to my computer. It is switched to "ON", and the other switched to F-BUS. I connect the PAN X60 to the RJ45 near TX/RX lights. The box says "card version" on the back. It says "Infinity High-Speed Tool Box on the front.

thanks again for your help. I am really desperate to get this to work.

Hi,
the problem is: your Box now detected by your PC as "FTDI FT8U2XX Device" (due to previus installed drivers).
It's need to change/update FTDI drivers for this device to "VCP" drivers so you will see ordinary COM port in your system after this.
Correct drivers located in x:\Program Files\InfinityBox\Drivers\Cable folder in your PC (after Infinity-Box drivers installation).
Please, try to change drivers for "FTDI FT8U2XX Device" device to drivers supplied with Infinity-Box.
