I am using Win 2000

When I look in the device Manager I see the new device as "USB Device" with it marked !. I click on update drivers and point it to the X700 drivers folder. it does not detect this driver. but it detects this driver D:Winnt//inf/usb.inf. I temp rename usb.inf to usb.bakinf and search for drivers again and point it to the X700 location but all it says is "Windows is unable to locate a driver for this device"...

What must I do ?. need help fast

Hi,

There is no risk to remove battery.
If you try to power on phone after removing battery your phone will start in Test mode again. To make phone back to ordinary power-on you need to make "Test-Mode Off".

As about drivers: could you try it on WinXP ?

Also you can try to delete this unknown device from Device Manager. In this case win can try to detect device again.

How cam I expect to see that result.

I am stuck at step 9

9. Connect X700 USB cable. PC ask for drivers.

PC does not ask for drivers.

on my screen is

Panasonic
TAM
USB InitialState : 0

When the USB cable is inserted it just detects it as a unknown USB device. when the cable is removed it is removed from the system. it does not take the X700 drivers when trying to upgrade drivers for this unknown device.

Can you try it on WinXP ?

Check phone connector. Maybe bottom connector contacts dirty and bad contact ?

Is it the same X700 with LCD problem ?

Thanks.. it asked for drivers.
cable have to attach to computer..then power on phone... if attach to phone then attach to computer will not work...Infinity should include this note in future documentation

Phone battery has now gone dead.. it will not charge, even though the charging light is on.. will now have to seek another customer and charge in another phone and then try to finish the unlock.
