New dongle cant run cm2mtk r2 please help - GSM-Forum

I have tried it on windows 10 64bi and win7 32bit

Operation : Identify [ v2.02 ]

1. Make sure device is powered off. Power off, if need. Wait 20 seconds after
2. Insert USB cable in phone
Waiting for device connection ...

PTFN : MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android) (COM5)
MODE : PRELOADER PORT
PORT : 5
Error : Failed to open port!

Error : Fail to init protocol!
Remove battery, cable. Check cable/connection/driver! Check SW hint! Repeat operation!

Reconnect Power/Cable!

Reboot ur PC,
Connect only infinity cm2 dongle,
Disconnect any other devices,
Power off the phone,
Open CM2 again,
Click identify button,
Wait 10secs,
Then connect power off phone only

done that bro couple of times,that error come in seconds after I press identify. only the new mtk module has this issue

check ur pc usb ports very well maybe it has carbon try to clean it.....

or shutdown ur pc for sometime and try again....

bro understand this, its only cm2mtk 2.02 that does not work but all works, and all mpy PC's are brandnew. team you need to help me with this

your dongle has no problem, it looks like problem with PC or cable.
if you have a problem only with v2.02 try v2.01

all latest MTK 2 version don't work and i have tried it on 2 computers, and on windows 10 and 7 only new mtk module, am i missing something?

worked with this, thanks alot @yusuf and @yellowboss . i didn't have a clue that i had to be that quick to insert the phone to the cable
