nokia 6300 newversion detected - GSM-Forum

i got this nokia with insert sim problem its imei was correct and not faulty
but it can't see any sim i used safe format then rebuilding imei using mode 2 because mode 1 failed
all gone ok but before doing all that i tryed to read full flash and i got new version detected i sent system log and backup to [email protected]
but after format and imei rebuild the phone still has the same problem with insert sim i am asking if this could be hardware or software problem as this phone has new version ?????

Hello,

If you see no changes after \"format\" there is a very big chance that it\'s hardware problem.
At first check sim card holder.

my question is as this phone has an unknown firmware could this influence on format operation or imei rebuild because mode 1 failed

hello!

no, format FFS same as IMEI restore will work same good on known and unknow firmware. I think you have some hardware problem. Also, sometimes, some sim cards is too thin. I've met such problem, please check this also
