Open RJ- problem... infinity team help ?

hi @ all...

i have many chinese phone without cable support... but i already have its pinout.. so i used a cable (called open rj) came with my new infinity...

first i solder the correct RX, TX and GND for both box and phone

any else step required ??

connected RX , TX and GND all done (2 addition wire not connected 1 for GND again and 1 for vcc)

when i connect to box ... and prompt to press pwr nothing happen only rx box "blue light" blinking but tx box "orange light" nothing..

" SPECIALLY.. phones has two processors.. rx_a, tx_a and rx_b, tx_b"

" ALSO.. with vodafone 225"

many ppl say replace soldering rx with tx and else... i already done.. and used a multimiter to check... all ok but problem still ??

any comment ?

hello!

as you described- you doing all right.
using gnx, tx, rx from open RJ45 cable soldring them to needed points.
what can be wrong.... wrong com port selected, wrong box RJ45 port used, wrong pinout used.
regarding com port problems and box connectors, switches: check FAQ section.
for wrong pinout: First of all check if your phone has GND pin on same place as in pinout you going to use for cable assembling.
if GND is on same place- second common problem is tx and rx swap. always check in both ways.

phone must boot if all mentioned above is completed

hello!

you answered all questions by yourself.
can not be software problem, because for all others soft works good.
can not be port selection or wrong rj45- because as you mentioned- you can work with this configuration.
the only problem is still Pinout or you using wrong wires from open RJ45 wire

you can see example of right rj45 pins by position/colur here:
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=386780
this is example of spice 404 cable, but it is good to analyse and use this in other models cable assembling

hello!

find somewhere chasie and check if you have good connection with phone
you can do this by applying one multimeter pin to phone GND where soldering was not accepted
and another pin to Laptop chasie. Resistance must be close to 0

hello!

well, if GND is ok, now we must check if tx, rx is also OK.
connect box to pc. insert your cable and shortcut tx with rx (tx+rx)
now use any terminal program to send some data to this port. you must see echo
when you remove shortcut- echo should gone
