Anyone used Infinity with Donod D805?

I have several Donod D805 and have problems with no connectivity with the device!

I have tried JTAG directly on the board (these are clearly marked) and also using Pin Finder but nothing will connect!!

As I say, I have several units that require the user code reset and even brand new units but none will connect!

Donod D805 is shown as supported but has anyone actually done one of these devices or is it only theoretically supported??

I have just tried this with no luck!

I am reasonably certain it is MTK 6225 because if you connect a normal working handset via USB it detects it as a 6225 and loads MTK drivers!

If I could get this phone to enable it's USB port, then I'm sure I could reset the user code in that way... Sadly, if the user code is set then plugging in a USB cable has no effect much like a BB5 Nokia!

hello!

use test points on PCB and RJ45 port of our box.
Tx goes to pin 3 of RJ45
Rx goes to pin 2 of RJ45
grounded PCB part must be connected with pin8 of RJ45

Phone's battery charged fully and attached
good luck

Thanks for the information.

Sadly, I have been checking and the Tx/Rx points on the PCB are not connected to anything (i.e. the UART) although marked as Tx/RX/Gnd on the PCB!!

Although they are Donod D805 the handsets are branded Mobitel (a local South African company) and this makes me convinced that they have had the serial ports disabled.

There are also no Tx/Rx points available on the USB port either. Only D+ and D- USB signals which are not enabled if a user password is set at startup (much like a Nokia BB5) if I could get the USB enabled, I could probably read the code...

Just to update this thread a little...

It seems that there are both MTK 6225 and Spreadtrum 6600 versions of this handset!

Green Board = MTK 6225 Based
Blue or Red/White Board = Spreadtrum 6600 Based

I hope to have manufacturer supplied service cables soon. Once I have these and work out how they enable the USB port on this handset, I will post the information here.

There's no log because there is no communication to/from the handset!

If the user code is enabled then the USB port does not work!

Here's the answer:

This handset is Spreadtrum 6600L based.

The only way to reset the code is to flash with original Spreadtrum flasher using Infinity Box (for COM Port) and J-TAG soldered onto Tx/Rx & Gnd on board. No Infinity software should be running.

The Tx/Rx connections are NOT connected to the USB socket on this version of the handset.

I hope this helps someone else...
