power supply

Hello.

I usually use pinfinder to find pinout and to give power to chinese phones I repair, but I need your advice...

When I must use testpoints on phones, I like to use an external power supply, because I don't like to solder the vcc wire.... anyone of you use any external power supply to power on the phones? and if the answer is yes, could you tell me the model name and where did you buy it?

Thanks in advance.

So, the power supply doesn't has to have any special characteristic in order to work with phones?

Do you know where to buy a cheap one online?
