Is not true my dear and is mistake I make on the file I downloaded from your site that kills my own TECNO LA7, why are you giving stock firmwares without scatter files, many of your files kills phone. @All, check out here and you will see how to solve this error, all we need is either auth file or emmc reprogramming. Please if any one finds solution lets the person share please! Thanks! http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f296...l#post13353710

Member: 2336625 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | @lionfinger2007 , you've got quite a number of things sideways in your brief comment but I'll try to keep this as short as possible and hope you're open to see things differently. The question began as Quote:
Two things (I trust you're familiar with both) 1. A Mediatek device could go dead when a flashing attempt is interrupted by an error. LA7 has secure boot and requires a DA file. So getting a Secure Boot error (when flashing without a da file) could cause some phones to go dead due to the error message 2. Some SP flash tool errors contain the word "Auth" but their fixes range from using the right firmware to getting a DA file. As a result of the OP not providing sufficient info, its best to start with safe assumptions and adjust as more info (from OP or tests) flows in. I suspect the OP actually got the DA then formatted the phone. This causes flash tools to request an Auth file. You don't format a Secure Boot MTK phone. Take a look at https://journal.hovatek.com/so-whats...-and-da-files/ Now, to address some points you raised Quote:
This is a fallacy of hasty generalization. How many scatter format firmware have you downloaded from our website without it containing or us providing a scatter file? Even our LA7 firmware page (Individual files) contains a scatter file if you look . They are called scatter format firmware because they include scatter files right? We have the largest online collection of Tecno firmware and go great lengths to list the build numbers of the firmware we list (that's easy for all to see). If you go flashing a firmware which isn't for your build number or do something wrong then the fault isn't from the firmware is it? T I get your frustration but lets separate emotions from facts OK? Your phone asking for Auth is likely because you formatted a secure boot MTK device. Formatting of course leaves your phone dead. That's a predictable outcome. On a lighter note, the Auth error isn't the end of the road, there are fixes only if you have the right files / tools.
