Trying to unlock c261 tracfone - GSM-Forum

Having problem with c261 6.6.61 by tracfone. When trying to connect the software stays always at 'Press and HOLD Power button...'

Other than bad cable, what else can it be? There is no indication the the software sees the phone.

Do I need to cut track?
Any advice?

Cut track and check, if phone doesnt come on, ok to unlock. If your phone powers on can not be unlocked for now.

C261 has no any test point or track to cut.
if phone can't be detected by software it can be cable problem or problem with phone connector.

I Have a C261 Fido can't unlock with Infinty

Remove/Install battery now !

How can I solve this prolem ?

You can't. "Err: this unit can't be unlocked". What is you don't understand?

I am using c115 cable from smart clip, it's the same right?
however the original one also gives the same results...

also according to the manual I am supposed to see infinity under com ports, in my case it's showing USB serial port. Tryed to reinstall - the same.

use "USB serial port" that you see after you connect box to PC.
no need to re-install, uninstall etc. just see what is COM port for this "USB serial port" and use it.

this is the one I am using. Tried to replace usb cable and rj45 cable. Still the same effect. I am running out of ideas.

Before few days I recived also 3 C-139 phones brand new from "tracfone " and very interesting that I couldnt conect any of them.

C261 has no any test point or track to cut.
if phone can't be detected by software it can be cable problem or problem with phone connector and check Fbus interface conect properly.
