X70 and COM port setting !!!

I’ve tried every thing to unlock X70 with the original data cable (RJ45) but no luck,
My supplier advice me to use normal serial data cable with X70, and it works 100%,

My question is that normal, do I have to use serial data cables with other models ?

Please advice .

Hello !

Really, I don't know what can be with X70 cable supplied with Box. Maybe your X70 cable have defects ?

As about other models. Don't need to use other serial data cables with Infinity, use cables that you have with Box.
Also, for some operations (f.e. fast speed flashing) you can use only Infinity cables, because ordinary COM-port cables can't work good at high speed.

OK, after testing .
I’ve discovered that if I plug X70 data cable (RJ45) with furious adapter (com to RJ45) , it works 100% regardless that using V9 will increase the risk factor,
So some how I’ve got problem setting that box,

Please advice.

Hello !

If you use any other cable and this cable works, you can use it (not depends on voltage, even 9v cable power not increase any risk). Main thing: cable have to have external power in any case to avoid risk of power loss during unlock process.

I can't understand why your cable not works with x70.
Please, check this link:

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=200078

it's about x300, but anyway, you can find some info about box/port settings.

Also, did you tried to flash/unlock other models with Infinity ?
Do you have cable problem only with x70 or with other models too ?

for operating with x70 you should switch ON 5V on the back side of infinity-box

Hi,

Btw, what part of Unibox you have tried for X70 ?
Left RJ-45 out is for USB-part input, and right RJ-45 out is for ordinary COM-port input.
Also, F-BUS/M-BUS switch have to be in F-BUS position.
