Member: 193747 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | X70 unlock problem I've had a problem with the X70's. The first one was a couple of weeks ago which gave a 'write error' message at stage 3 - I aborted the unlock - the phone powered up no problem and I returned it to the cucstomer. The second was the same 'write error' message at stage 3 - I decided to press retry - the error just came up again so I decided to pres 'ignore' which I did a further 5 times. The result was a dead phone. I'm sorry but I didn't save the logs but the last one looked identical to the othe member who had this problem. I've read all the threads and tried to flash it various ways but it gets no further than 'echanging parameters' or something similar. Anyway I have another one here to unlock and wondered if you could load an old version of the software (if it is as easy as that) - as I never had a problems in the past. The one I have on hand is a sure thing a good old A31 but I'll await your response before I attempt anything. Any assistance would be appreciated please. Thank you. Regards, WW. |

Member: 193747 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hello, I've double checked the connections and pinout and all are fine (it's the same cable I've used to unlock numerous X70's in the past). It may just be a coincidense but it seems to be the same problem others are facing: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...&highlight=x70 As I say above it's been a while since I've had any of these models to unlock so it seems a bit strange that I'm now having a problem where there wasn't a problem before. If you can let me know if there's been no update for the X70 software in the last 12 months, then I'll try a clean install. I'm not trying to blame Infinity here, it's without doubt the best box on the market but if there's a bug then hopefully we can work together to get it sorted. Yes I understand the X70 is an old model but the last thing anyone wants to do is say to a customer 'I can't do that model' or ' whoops your phone dont work any more'. I'll try to unlock this one I have ( ver. A31) and post the result. I'm probably wrong but I personally don't think it's a cable/connection problem as the software seems to be communicating with the phone until the 'write error'. Thanks anyway. Regards, WW. |

Member: 193747 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | This one wouldn't connect for some reason, I think I tried everything twice reduced the baud rate, double checked the com etc - I uninstalled and reinstalled the box drivers, set the baud to 19200 - it connected, Infinity did it's magic and everything went ok - unlocked no problem. Who knows what the problem was with th other 2? Maybe the phones had already been corrupted by some-one before they were brought to me? ---------------- Log opened: [23/06/2007] [17:20:57] App: D:\Program Files\InfinityBox\Pana06\X70.exe Current device: X70 S/N: Loading, wait...
