USB Flashing - tutorial - how to.

Hi All,

I found this a must to share this information with everyone.

USB Flashing on Swift phones (i.e D500, D600, E350) it is possible with other types (agere etc) but I have not tried as of yet.

Basically if you look around on google you will find people selling debranding packages etc that work via USB, basically all it is - a PL2303 USB D500 cable that simply works in a similar way to the FTDI based cables.

It's cost me £12.99 for a cable etc to flash these phones via USB, you can of course use a FTDI based cable - although let me note that the Cruiser Team Cable will not work - this cable has a switch after the FTDI chips that basically make the cable only work on Cruiser cables etc etc.

So once you have bought your Prolific (PL2303) Cable or FTDI cable you must install the necessary drivers and then point the flashing s/w to the new comport installed by the flash cable - then finally change the baud speed to 921000 baud... Then sit back with a coffee - by the time you have finished drinking it your flash will be finished - it takes around 10 - 20mins to flash a D600 via USB.
