5800 black screen and restart - GSM-Forum

Hello
please help me with this
i have nokia 5800 while i am using it
the screen get black an vertical lines with pink and purple
then the phone restart
i did software to the phone
tried so many software versions but
no changes , the same problem
So any one help me with this?

its hardware problem
try to search you will find proper solution
i think place some little piece of magnet inside near lcd

thx for your reply, but customer told me that his phone was working good before i flashed to change language.. now phone without simcard is working very good, but with simcard it restarts each 5-10 minutes and just before restarting screen becomes black with vertical purple lines moving..

do you really think it's hardware problem ?

some of member repaired lcd problem se u told purple line
but they placed some magnet and repaired

but my phone is 100% ok!

solution___
1. change display ic ( be carefully because lcd connector here, first give steel cover upon the lcd connector)
2. if not work you need another way______
just give paper or tape in the lcd male site ______ ( you need it for more good feting ) and insert it in the lcd connector.

than must solve your problem!

i am sure its a software problem i have had same experience it is usally caused my downgrading the version of the phone which is not supposed to be done to confirm this post log with mxkey and u will discover it has a super dongle problem search forum u will find a solution on how to fix that

hi i successfully fixed this problem on a 5800 but the little problem i have is that when the phone goes on stand bye mode and i use the side lock button to release it, it shows normal unlike before when it goes multi colored,but now when it goes on stand bye and i tap the screen (even when the key lock is disabled )it does not pick up i.e it does not show the normal screen instead it still shows black then occasionally multicolored till i push the side key lock keypad that is when it shows normal,pls help what do i do to have a complete and permanent solution.thanks in advance

I solved my problem; insert a piece of paper to lcd connector with the lcd flex solution is succesfull
