First i don't see any speed. Second its not a question if your 11 seconds test works. Leave it for 12-18 months non stop running to see if its stable, crashing, dropping data, then, we can talk.

first test consisted of running a new oclHashcat Beta application called oclHashcat-lite. Oclhc-lite is targeted at new users of the oclhc series of tools. Without the need to learn all the details of regular oclHashcat. In addition oclhc-lite was optimized for single hash performance utilizing the benefits of round reversal and various other hashing algorithm short cuts and GPU techniques to achieve the highest overall possible speeds. First up was the MD5 hashing algorithm the bench-press of benchmarks immediately showed us results just shy of what was predicted. Here are the results of the test.
MD5 45B/sec
NTLM 70B/sec
MD4 75.2B/sec
SHA1 14.1B/sec
To date these are some of the highest speeds achieved by a single personally owned machine.
all grets goes to ATOM, ofcourse !

It's faster not because of 6990 or using oclhashcat-lite. The thing is that you can use up to 8 GPUs on Linux instead of only 4 on Windows as before, and that's what can be seen on these movies as well. The calculation speed compared to ighashhpu with same cards may differ by few (up to 2-3 most likely) percents only.

I trully doubt people investing into 4x 6990 for personal calculations only but for sure it'll solve the problem with missing 5870/5970 on the market.

as writen in the Q&A:

Quote:
Q: can i run it with multiple gpus?
A: yes, but they need to be of the same type. for example: 2x5970 works, but not 1x5970 + 1x5870
A million little bugs - hashcat dev
